Carl Wayne

Meet Carl Wayne, a 9-year-old, 13.1h bay Quarter Horse gelding with a good start and plenty of potential. He's ready to GO places.  He has been ridden over the past two years by intermediate, youth riders on trails and in the arena.  He shines on the trails and will happily follow along, safe and suitable for any level of rider. Walks through water, over varied terrain, not spooky and has more whoa than go.  If you need a solid horse for a kid to ride on weekend trail adventures, he's got you covered.

In the arena, Carl Wayne has tons of untapped potential.  He's been introduced to cows and has had the rope swung off him more than a few times.  He's versatile and has a good mind. He can lean lazy at times without consistent riding.  But when he's being regularly worked, he finds his groove and thrives.  If you have a kid that wants to be out there, riding, putting some miles on a horse, this horse can keep up. In fact, that's exactly what he needs.

Temperament

Carl Wayne’s too solid and sensible to be sittin’ in the pasture. He’s ready to hit the trails this fall or find his roping partner. He's steady, quiet, and built to work. Loads and hauls like a champ, stands for the farrier without fuss, and is a gentleman in the barn. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense, honest horse with plenty of potential, Carl Wayne could be your guy.

He's been hauled to shows and rodeos, is comfortable around tractors/dogs/minis/goats, has excellent manners on the ground and VERY good for the farrier/vet. Has been introduced to cattle and the rope with no issues. UTD on coggins and vaccines. Can easily go barefoot, currently shod on the front

Best Suited For

Under saddle, Carl Wayne is a responsive, steady ride who shines with regular, consistent work. He’s best suited for willing, handy youth who can keep him tuned up and finish him out right. He has the potential work well in the arena or be a trusty ranch horse, whether that’s trail riding, roping, or gathering cattle.
