River

River is the kind of mare more people are quietly searching for these days, one who hasn’t been rushed or pushed too hard, too soon.

At four years old, she’s been allowed to mature physically and mentally before being asked for more. She’s been handled, saddled, and introduced to the basics, but most importantly… she’s been allowed to just be a horse.

​

She comes from foundation bloodlines and has the most beautiful, eye-catching color, just look at her mane! River is willing and well-mannered: she leads easily, stands tied, settles in a stall, and is good for the farrier. We can see River fulfilling her potential to excel as a western pleasure prospect, ranch show horse, or cow horse.  She’s lived on the ranch in a mixed-herd and has regularly shared fence lines with our cattle.

For someone who values bringing one along correctly, at their own pace, River is a blank slate in the best possible way. No holes to fix. No bad habits to undo.
